End-To-End Integration. Lot control, traceability and handling secondary processes are often big issues for Computer Insights clients. The BUSINESS EDGE is designed with these needs in mind. It offers Computer Insights clients complete end-to-end integration of all the important functions of their business. The system covers everything from quote and order entry, to inventory management, warehouse management, purchasing with automated replenishment, to vendor managed inventory.

Orders that are picked in the Warehouse are allocated in real time in The BUSINESS EDGE. With wireless portable label printers, a variety of labels can be printed in the warehouse on a printer carried by the order picker. This on-demand printing greatly increases efficiency.
Using the Wireless Physical Inventory system, you can quickly and easily perform Physical Inventories and Cycle Counts on small sections of your Inventory without the need for a complete Warehouse shutdown. Optional Pick Replenishment System will prompt your Warehouse to fill Pick Locations from Overstock Locations when the Pick Locations fall below minimum Quantities.
Put away screens tell users what Zone Locations the Product should be put away into, helping keep your high velocity Inventory in easily accessible Locations, while lower turnover Inventory in more remote Locations. For Products that have multiple Overstock Locations, the System will also tell the user if the current inventory should be put in an Overstock or a Pick Location.
Directed Put Away will tell the user what Location to put the Product into based on the Carton size, empty Locations, zone of the Product and current stock already in the Warehouse.
Since all the functions of The BUSINESS EDGE Wireless Warehouse are native and integral to the host system, you can begin a process from a full sized screen and pick it up midway with a wireless device. Alternatively, if something is being handled by the Wireless System and you need to finish up the process with a PC, there is no problem at all. Unlike other “bolt on” Wireless Warehouse Systems, our Wireless Warehouse is truly integrated and real time.
