Arriving with 18 base formulas, Absolute Value uses the very accurate best-fit forecasting methodology to reforecast the past, in order to determine the best forecasting method, by item, each period, for the future. Best-fit forecasting allows for more accurate stocking decisions and minimizes stock outs. Great forecasting is only half the battle today. With the long-lead times now required for items, accurate replenishment is equally important.
