After looking at your company at a high level, through pie charts and bar graphs, you can drill down for more detailed information. Additionally, customizing screens and reports to your specific needs are as simple as dragging and dropping fields.

KMC is a powerful tool that efficiently and simply analyzes this information so you can respond quickly to changes in the marketplace. KMC gives you analysis tools, including collaboration capabilities, Internet, reports and graphs, and messaging support, inherent in many Microsoft products. For example, you can access month-to-date, quarter-to-date, or year-to-date information by customer, vendor, sales representative, product group, or item – all from your workstation or web-browser.

Trend Analysis

Analyzing data trends is very important when forecasting future business needs or spotting potential hazards. Using the features available in KMC, you can drill down into the data to more deeply analyze details and trends. You can save the information to your desktop for further analysis or share these trends with coworkers via email. From an executive standpoint, you are able to restrict access to any pieces of information that you do not wish your employees to view. For example, you might show your sales department sales figures, but you might not want to show them financial information related to your business.

As an executive, you need to look at how your business is doing at a high level, while having other critical information at your fingertips. By simply pointing and clicking or dragging and dropping fields within KMC, you can collect the information that you want and tailor your screens and reports, including graphical views of your General Ledger (GL) and budget data. Additionally, non-stock and direct ship-only sales can be viewed in a separate graph or table, enabling users to directly compare inventory and non-stock or direct ship sales.

Of course, everyone has their own preferred way to view data. Whereas one executive might want to look at numbers in an Excel spreadsheet, you might be a visual learner, preferring to see company statistics in a pie chart or bar graph. This is not an issue, as exporting data to Excel from KMC is accomplished by a click of a button. Once you create a desirable report, you can save its format for future use. All the information you collect in KMC is pulled from your Prophet 21 solution and presented in an attractive, intuitive display. Retrieving a specific employee’s sales history from the solution, for instance, is as simple as clicking on their name. In just seconds, you can see not only how much they are selling, but also what specific products they are selling. You can also view top, bottom, or all sales by supplier, sales representatives, item, or product group.
